It is the land of garrigue, holm oaks, cistus, arbutus, mastic trees, and aromatic plants. The wild fauna is very diverse and well represented: wild boars, hares, rabbits, partridges, thrushes for game species, but also badgers, foxes, civets, and other small carnivores, all sorts of small rodents, many birds of prey, and migratory birds. The holm oak woods, which have not been exploited for about sixty years, harbor an insect reservoir necessary for the biological balance of the vineyard.
